Chilean Avocado Committee promotes new technology trial with startup Miido
The Chilean Avocado Committee has teamed up with Chilean startup Miido to launch a new technology trial to foster greater efficiency, sustainability and innovation within the sector.
The goal is to harness the power of AI to revolutionise agricultural management through WhatsApp. Its technology transforms audio and messages sent from the field into useful metrics for decision-making, facilitating real-time monitoring and promoting more efficient and sustainable operations.
“Miido acts as a digital assistant that converses directly with field teams, collecting key information simply and effectively. It also integrates with the company’s databases to operate as a 24/7 analyst,” said Nicolás Castellón, CEO of Miido.
The company already operates in Chile, Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica, collaborating with leading agricultural companies in each of these countries.
Through this partnership, the Chilean Avocado Committee said it was reaffirming its commitment to innovation as a driver of development for Chilean agriculture.
“We especially thank Miido for its commitment and interest in developing this initiative together with our association. We also extend our recognition to our members, whose active collaboration and innovative spirit enable the Chilean avocado sector to continue progressing and consolidating itself as one of the world’s leading producers,” the committee said.
