Multinational fruit company Chiquita has celebrated the official inauguration of its new European headquarters in Etoy, Switzerland.
More than 25 special guests attended the event, including community leaders from the surrounding Vaud canton.
The mayor of Etoy José Manuel Fernandez joined Chiquita Brands International's chief executive Carlos Lopez Flores in cutting the ribbon.
The company, which transferred its Europe head office from its previous location in nearby Rolle last summer, has a network of ripening centres and sales offices across Europe, as well as a commercial office in the United Arab Emirates.
It US headquarters, meanwhile, is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
