Chiquita has supplied fresh cut produce to two schools near Atlanta, Georgia, in support of the Arby's Foundation's US$1m pledge to Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign.
The free deliveries mark the beginning of a partnership that will see Chiquita's Apple Bites included in Arby's restaurants' Kids Meals.
Arby's revamped Kids Meals contain fewer calories, less fat and less sodium, and include Apple Bites as a side item served with a yogurt dipping sauce.
Hala Moddelmog, president of Arby's Restaurant Group and chair of the Arby's Foundation, said: 'The Arby's family welcomes Chiquita among our suppliers.'
