Company said its mission is to bring 360° tech and innovative solutions to the agricultural sector
La Compagnie Fruitière has announced that it is making Farms Digital, the in-house management software it developed to manage its banana production, available to the wider banana industry.
The company said the tool is already deployed on more than 14,000ha across Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, helping producers optimise yields, cut costs, and reduce disease pressure with 1-metre geolocated data and real-time decision-making.
“Farms helps growers take immediate decisions based on geolocated and reliable data and an intra-parcel vision. It is an ecosystem of many applications, each tackling a specific issue for banana producers: the quantity and quality of green stock, the processing of bunches, pests and diseases, workforce are all monitored through a single website,” it said.
According to Farms Digital, the power of the solution resides in its unique capacity to geolocalise every data with precision. It can identify each bunch of bananas, from flower to the pallet, and allow each plant diagnosed with weakness or disease to be marked, mapped and treated. It also enables companies to document the performance and working hours of its workers.
“The technological solution is offering analysis and data from the smallest to the largest view, with a 1-metre precision for the geolocation. Moreover, every data that can be automated is so, in order to ensure the quality and reliability of our information,” Farms Digital explained.
“Made by and for fruit growers, Farms is the future of agriculture, designed to help and bring efficiency from the field to the top management, enabling reliable analysis and fast decisions.”
