Helmut Kaspers has been appointed by third party logistics provider Damco as the new chief commercial officer for the west Europe region.
Kaspers boasts plenty of experience in the sector. His previous position was with international 3PL company Logwin as member of the executive committee with specific focus on Ocean and Air.
In addition, he has formerly held include roles as CEO of Birkart Globistics Group, regional director of West Germany for Kuehne & Nagel, executive vice-president for ocean freight at Schenker and product manager for seafreight at Dachser.
In addition to his new role as Damco west Europe CCO, Kaspers will continue to act as non-executive director of the board of TAL International (USA), a container leasing company.
