Belgian retailer Delhaize has said that it has agreed a deal to acquire four supermarkets in Romania through its Mega Image subsidiary.
The deal is expected to be finalised in the third quarter of the year, the group said, but would not disclose the value of the investment according to Reuters.
The deal will be subject to approval by antitrust authorities in the eastern European country.
Estimated revenues for the four stores totalled more than €12m in 2008, Reuters said.
