CSO Italy will host leading European pear conference in Emilia-Romagna, a region that accounts for 60 per cent of Italy’s production

Leading pear conference Interpera will take place on 25-26 June 2026 in Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna, a region historically at the heart of pear production in Italy.

Indeed, the region accounts for around 60 per cent of the country’s cultivated area and production.

The event will be organised by CSO Italy, on behalf of Areflh (Assembly of European Horticultural Regions), and will bring together leading experts and producers from the sector’s key countries including Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal and France.

Interpera 2026 will be structured around three key sessions, covering economics, technicals aspects and a field day with producer tours.

To facilitate discussions and networking among participants, the programme also includes social events, such as a welcome cocktail on the evening of 24 June to welcome international delegations, and a gala dinner on the evening of 25 June.

”For CSO Italy, hosting Interpera 2026 represents a crucial opportunity to reaffirm Italy’s role, promote the excellence of the product, and encourage the exchange of experiences to give new impetus to a key product of the Italian agricultural economy,” the organiser stated.

Interpera 2026 will take place under the patronage of the Municipality of Ferrara, in collaboration with UNAPera, and will be sponsored by CIV-Consorzio Italiano Vivaisti and Unitec.
