Innovative supplier wants to highlight Fairtrade bananas in an unmissable way

Canadian Fairtrade banana supplier Equifruit has taken its reputation for thinking outside the box to the next level with an ’Endcap of Destiny’-themed booth at the upcoming CPMA show in Toronto.
The company will be inviting CPMA attendees to step up and build the ultimate Equifruit banana display at the show, which takes place from 28-30 April. It wants the creations to be ”the kind that shatter records, stop customers mid-shop, and make your boss question if they want your job”.
Equifruit has declared 2026 as “officially the year of the Banana Badass”, in a nod to its female-led leadership team. To mark the occasion, the supplier has reimagined its banana cases, arguing that the most ethical banana in the aisle should also be the most unmissable.
The company explained: “The Endcap of Destiny is what happens when Fairtrade conviction meets retail display glory. It’s going to be epic.”
“We’ve spent 20 years proving that Fairtrade is good for farmers, good for retailers, and good for business,” said Kim Chackal, VP of sales and marketing and co-owner of Equifruit. “This year at CPMA, we’re making Fairtrade bananas impossible to ignore.
”The Endcap of Destiny is much more than just a banana display, it’s a visual values statement. Come by booth #638 and build it with us. Your produce aisle will thank you.”
