Headquartered in Rojales, Eurofruits produces peppers, broccoli, courgettes, and artichokes across three provinces: Alicante, Murcia and Albacete. It was formed in 2020 through a merger between farmers and exporters in the southern Alicante and Campo de Cartagena region and it owns 9,000m² of facilities handling conventional and organic produce.

“With this addition, Anecoop strengthens its presence in southeastern Spain and expands its offering by 12,700 tonnes of vegetables,” Anecoop said.

Eurofruits Levante’s main product is peppers, with an estimated annual volume of 6,000 tonnes, cultivated in its own 400,000m² of greenhouses. Broccoli is next, with a cultivation area of 250ha and an annual production of 3,000 tonnes, followed by courgettes, for which it has 220,000m² of cultivation area both in greenhouses and outdoors, producing 2,500 tonnes a year. Artichokes – including the Blanca de Tudela and Green Queen varieties – complete the company’s offering, with an annual production volume of 1,200 tonnes per season cultivated on 60ha located in the Vega Baja and Albacete regions.

The Alicante-based company is closely aligned with Anecoop’s outlook on sustainability, sharing a commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture. It holds GlobalGAP, Grasp, Spring, IFS and BRC certifications and has the seals of the Vega Baja Artichoke Association and organic production.

Iván Arenas Pérez, director of Eurofruits Levante, commented: “Joining this great project that is Anecoop represents an exceptional opportunity to multiply our capacity to access new markets, thanks to its 50 years of commercial experience and its well-established international presence, with shipments to more than 70 countries. Agility in service is one of our objectives, and in this regard, Anecoop offers us complete confidence”.

Welcoming the incorporation of Eurofruits Levante, Anecoop’s president, Alejandro Monzón, said: “The creation of these business alliances is key to the long-term viability of agriculture, as it strengthens collective potential over individual strength, providing agricultural companies with the capacity to respond and adapt to a constantly evolving market”.
