Rotterdam-based fresh produce group Fairtrasa has announced that founder Patrick Struebi has resumed the role of chief executive officer.

The group said that Struebi will now lead the company ”into its next phase of growth”, and that his return reaffirmed its ”long-term commitment to customers, suppliers and farming communities worldwide”.

Struebi returns to lead the business alongside chief operating officer Oscar van Reisen and chief financial officer Sander Wilders.

Together, the leadership team brings ”extensive international experience” across commercial management, operations and finance, the company stated.

“When I founded Fairtrasa, I wanted to prove that success in business and positive impact could reinforce each other,” said Struebi. “Today, that conviction is stronger than ever.

”As we enter this next chapter, we will continue raising the bar for quality, reliability and innovation while creating lasting value for everyone across our supply chain.”

Fairtrasa said that under Struebi’s leadership, it will accelerate its long-term strategy, expand its international business and continue to pioneer more resilient, transparent and sustainable fresh produce supply chains.
