Fyffes has reached an agreement with Dublin Zoo for its Freddy Fyffes children's banana character to sponsor the tourist attraction's Gorilla Rainforest.
The new facility will be known as the 'Gorilla Rainforest proudly sponsored by Freddy Fyffes'.
Fyffes' statement on the matter said: 'It is a fantastic opportunity to be part of such a memorable, positive family experience.'
Irish president Mary McAleese will open the £3m Gorilla Rainforest on 28 September this year.
