The Giumarra Companies has announced in a press release the appointment of James Paul to its US West Coast avocado and asparagus sales staff.
“James will be focused on the continued growth of our avocado and asparagus programs,” said Bruce Dowhan, general manager of Giumarra Agricom.
“He has an exceptionally strong background in produce sales and he is a valuable addition to our sales team.”
Specifically, Paul will engage with Midwest and East Coast customers to implement programmes designed to create incremental sales for asparagus and avocados, according to the company.
He will also be coordinating efforts with Giumarra’s global supply to provide a seamless continuity of fresh Nature’s Partner asparagus throughout the year.
Giumarra Agricom will conclude its California avocado season in mid-October and is looking forward to ample supplies of Mexican and Chilean avocados this autumn (fall).
Nature’s Partner asparagus from Peru is expected to arrive next week, with production in Mexico starting in October. There will be plentiful supplies for the holiday season.
Paul comes to Giumarra with sales and marketing experience with Greg Paul Produce Sales and Altar Produce, both of which are located in California.
He also previously worked with Prima Bella Produce, Apio and Boskovich Farms.
