Designed to accelerate gender equality, increase the share of women in senior positions, and expand professional networks across the fresh produce industry, the European Chapter will be led by president Danitza Sanchez, an experienced industry executive with a strong commitment to our mission and leadership.

She will head a cross-functional team focused on activating networks, scaling best practice, and helping companies embed diversity and equity more effectively. “The pillars behind the new structure are industry knowledge, strategic communication, leadership developments, and gender expertise,” GWF said.

The new leadership structure includes:

  • Carmell Clark, director of leadership initiatives, organisational training and coaching. She has more than 25 years in executive coaching. She is focusing on data-driven leadership development for women individually and as structural advancement across organizations.
  • Dana Chahin, director of gender and community engagement. With more than 15 years’ experience in the sector, her main role will be aligning European activities with international gender frameworks and standards.
  • Nuria Pizan, director of communications, marketing & PR. Pizan has worked in marketing for more than 20 years and in her new role she will increase visibility, public engagement, and narrative change for women across the sector.

“Global Women Fresh is not just a network, it is a community,” Sanchez said. “Our women’s community is driven by purpose, talent, and ambition; and we are committed to creating an environment where women can continue to grow their careers, access new opportunities, and lead with confidence. When women are empowered to advance, organizations thrive and communities are strengthened.”

Global Women Fresh offers corporate and individual sponsorships that provide access to global networks, events, leadership development, coaching, peer exchange and visibility.

Thousands of women worldwide already collaborate through the platform, forming partnerships and supporting new business across the fresh produce value chain.
