New centralised job hub aims to address labour scarcity while supporting sustainable growth and professionalisation throughout the blueberry value chain
The International Blueberry Organization (IBO) has announced the launch of BlueCareers, a new recruitment platform developed specifically for the global blueberry industry.
Designed to bring together employers and professionals, BlueCareers will serve as a centralised hub for career opportunities, job postings, resume submissions, and networking, IBO explained.
It said that as the blueberry industry continues to expand worldwide, BlueCareers aims to facilitate growth and development by addressing one of the sector’s most pressing needs: attracting and retaining qualified talent.
The platform is designed to empower job seekers and employers across the full spectrum of the blueberry industry, offering opportunities at every level of the value chain.
Recently Mario Steta, chairman of the IBO, reflected on the challenges of structural labour scarcity facing the blueberry industry.
He emphasised that workforce issues cannot be addressed individually but require collaboration and a broader strategic view.
“Labour has two dimensions: the need for collective action, and the competitive advantage to be gained if managed well,” he wrote. “BlueCareers is designed to support both sides of this challenge.”
All employers and professionals within the industry can access the platform online, where they will be able to post and browse job opportunities, submit resumes, and connect through a growing directory of industry members worldwide.
”With its global reach and tailored focus, BlueCareers represents a key milestone in the IBO’s mission to support the sustainable growth and professionalise the blueberry industry,” the organisation added.
