IPD partner companies from South America and Africa will highlight a diverse selection of exotic fruit and vegetables at Fruit Logistica in February

Germany’s Import Promotion Desk (IPD) will host around 40 companies from ten countries on its stand at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, as it presents a diverse range of tropical and subtropical fruit from South America and Africa.

Colombian suppliers will showcase their passion fruit, limes, tamarillos, granadillas, physalis, oranges, lemons and blueberries, Ecuadorean companies present their bananas, pineapples, mangoes and red and white dragon fruit, while Brazilian firms show off a wide range of melons, as well as limes and mangoes.

“Peru, another IPD partner country, is represented at the booth with highlights including pomegranates, as well as fresh organic ginger and turmeric,” IPD stated. “A diverse range of African fruits will also be on display at the IPD booth.

“Egypt is represented by numerous exhibitors offering grapes, apricots, peaches, pomegranates, bananas, dragon fruit, mangoes, cherimoyas, mandarins, oranges and lemons. The variety of Egyptian table grapes is particularly notable. Moroccan companies will showcase their citrus fruit offerings, while mangoes from Senegal, along with passion fruit and papayas from Ghana, further enrich the African selection.”

IPD’s African partner countries also provide a wide range of vegetables and herbs. Kenyan companies present high-quality herbs, including basil, chives, thyme and oregano, avocados, sugar snap peas, green beans, baby courgettes, baby leeks,and baby carrots. Meanwhile, companies from Senegal and Morocco will highlight chili and okra pods, as well as green beans and courgettes.
