Irritec said that the acquisition strengthens its presence in Latin America and reaffirms its commitment to the development of sustainable and efficient agriculture.

The strategic plan includes the modernisation and expansion of Agrifim’s production facility, along with the introduction of new production lines equipped with state-of-the-art machinery.

This will allow the optimisation of logistics costs, an expanded product offering, and reduced delivery times, the gorup said – ensuring Colombian farmers have access to more efficient and affordable technological solutions.

The operation will also include the creation of a technology transfer and training centre, fostering innovation in products tailored to local agriculture and generating skilled employment.

“Investing in Colombia means investing in more efficient and resilient agriculture,” said Carmelo Giuffrè, founder and chairman of the Irritec Group.

”Our goal is to adapt global solutions to local challenges by combining technological innovation with deep local roots.”

“This acquisition strengthens our global strategy: international presence and strong local foundations,” noted Francesco Quagliozzi, general manager of the Irritec Group.

“We want to work alongside Colombian farmers, providing them with the tools they need to tackle the challenges of climate change and productivity.”

“This partnership with Irritec represents a technological leap for Agrifim,” explained Amalia Becerra, general manager, together with Jorge Sánchez and Álvaro Sanjinés, co-founders and board members of Agrifim Colombia.

”It will allow us to upgrade and expand our production capacity, combining our local experience with the advanced technology of a global leader.”
