Sta-Fresh Flowable Wax 4000 designed to simplify operations and help more pineapple reach the market in sellable condition
JBT Marel has developed an easier-to-handle addition of its Sta-Fresh pineapple wax portfolio. Sta-Fresh Flowable Wax 4000 is designed to eliminate the need to scoop, scrape, weigh, and intensively mix paste-style waxes.
Featuring a 77 per cent concentration, the formulation delivers more usable product per drum, reducing water storage requirements and inventory footprint, while supporting more efficient transportation and storage.
According to the company, the flowable wax demonstrated improvement in shelf-life extension after cold storage and improvement in DPA control compared with Sta-Fresh 2952. Pairing the new wax formulation with JBT’s ProDOSE Pineapple Wax Dosing Machine is designed to complement the product’s efficiency by providing automated dosing, Brix monitoring, concentration control, and data logging.
