Cooperative wins Business Commitment award in recognition of its dedication to deeply rooted agricultural tradition and cutting-edge innovation

Spain’s La Palma Cooperative has received the Business Commitment Award at the 13th Almería Agriculture Awards, organised by La Voz de Almería, Cadena SER, and Agricultura 2000, in recognition of its history as a leader in agricultural cooperatives, its commitment to innovation, and its contribution to the development of the agri-food sector.

The award was accepted by the cooperative’s president, Pedro Ruiz, during a gala held at the El Ejido Municipal Theatre. The award was presented by Antonio Mena, the regional delegate for Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development in Almería.

The award’s organisers praised La Palma’s commitment to deeply rooted agricultural tradition and cutting-edge innovation. “With this commitment, Cooperativa La Palma has navigated the most exciting half-century of agriculture in southeastern Spain,” the said.

La Palma said the honour “reaffirms a model based on quality, sustainability, innovation, and value creation for farmers, clients, and consumers”.
