The winning product was chosen by more than 10,000 consumers and announced at an awards ceremony at the Once Auditorium in Barcelona last week.

La Palma’s Coolinary sauces are made with 100 per cent plant-based ingredients sourced from their farmers’ crops. According to La Palma, they come in a range of modern and versatile favours adapted to the preferences of today’s consumer, and are an ideal way to derive added value from locally-grown fruits and vegetables.

“The Coolinary range has established itself as a distinctive offering in the market, providing creativity, flavour, quality, and development based on innovation and sustainability,” the company said.

“This award reaffirms our commitment to diversification, research, and the development of new products, always with the goal of offering consumers healthy, flavourful gastronomic experiences made with the highest quality ingredients.”

The Coolinary sauces are part of the cooperative growing range of plant-based processed products. Others include vegetable creams, plant-based tuna, vegetable sauces, vegan burgers, and a range of snacks and culinary aids.

“All the products are grown by our partner farmers in Andalusia, without additives, using renewable energy sources, reducing their carbon footprint, and minimising water usage,” the cooperative said.
