Appointment comes as part of transition following departure of previous CEO Oliver Mans in June
The supervisory board of German fresh produce company Landgard has appointed Roland Neuwald to its board of directors with immediate effect.
The producer cooperative announced it had made the change on an interim basis, as part of an orderly transition until the second position on Landgard’s board of directors is permanently filled – alongside chief financial officer Moritz Krannich.
The statutory appointment of Gunther Lehleiter to that board came to an end as planned on 31 August 2025.
“Roland Neuwald has proven expertise in managing and advising large retail companies, and we are pleased to have been able to secure his position as interim Board Member at Landgard,” said Bert Schmitz, supervisory board chairman.
“He will contribute his extensive experience in the international retail environment, as well as with turnaround programs and corporate transformation processes.”
Following the departure of previous CEO Oliver Mans, who stepped down in June, Lehleiter was appointed as deputy board of directors member for a limited period up to the end of August.
In the meantime, Landgard’s search for a long-term management board member continues.
