Plantaz brings “extensive international experience” in freight forwarding and contract logistics, Maersk noted, including ten years with Kuehne and Nagel and more than a decade with CEVA Logistics, where he held senior leadership roles across Asia Pacific, Southern Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa.

He succeeds Narin Phol, who will leave the company at the end of September.

Meanwhile, after a 24-years long career at Maersk, chief people officer Susana Elvira has decided that the time has come for her to explore opportunities outside the company.

The group said that Elvira has played a ”pivotal role” in shaping Maersk as an attractive and inclusive workplace for talented colleagues across the globe.

She will leave the company in mid-October. Her successor has been appointed and will also join Maersk on 1 November 2026.
