Maersk Line has won two prestigious awards at the Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards, one of the region’s most well recognised annual maritime events.
The awards honour individuals, organisations and companies in the shipping industry from across the region, with Maersk Line landing the Ship Owner/Operator Award and the Shipping Company of the Year Award.
Shane Sawyer, director of business performance management for Maersk Line’s west central Asia region, received the awards on behalf of Maersk Line.
'It is a proud moment for Maersk Line to be recognised for understanding and facilitating the growth in trade between emerging markets including Asia and Africa, Asia and South America, and intra-Asia routes,' he said.
