The facility, which began operations in early November, is more than double the size of the company’s previous warehouse in the market
Spanish tropicals specialist Montosa has expanded its logistics operations in Perpignan with the acquisition of a new warehouse. The move increases the company’s capacity at the French market from 300m² to more than 700m².

Located within the Medina 4 logistics complex, owned by Groupe Primever, Montosa said the new centre will improve supply chain efficiency and provide it with the infrastructure it needs to meet the current requirements of its customers in France.
“In recent years, we have grown significantly and steadily in France. That is why it was necessary to adapt our capacity to the actual demand from customers in this country. It was time to expand and optimise our logistics processes,” said commercial director Thierry Athimon.
In addition to the increase in capacity, the new facilities will enable Montosa to maintain a continuous stock of fresh guacamole in France. “We want to start storing stock of our star product, fresh guacamole, in Perpignan soon. This will allow us to have smoother distribution closer to French points of sale. The ultimate goal is to be closer to our customers in this country, offering them the best personalised service and always with the freshest products,” Athimon explained.
Montosa’s extensive client portfolio in France includes supermarket chains and specialist wholesalers, to whom it supplies both on a large scale and for customised projects.
Marta Sanjuan, Montosa’s managing director, commented: “This opening is an important achievement for us. Not only does it consolidate our steady growth in Europe, but it also demonstrates our new approach of closeness and collaboration with our customers and business partners”.
