Spanish exporter reports its strongest export campaign to date, driven by significant growth in baby leaf, broccoli and lettuce

Murcia-based Myrtea Export has recorded the highest export volume in its history during the past campaign.
The record performance was driven by strong growth across several of the company’s key product lines, reflecting increasing international demand for high-quality Spanish fresh produce and consolidating Myrtea Export’s position in international markets.
The most significant increases include a 68 per cent increase in baby leaf exports and 59 per cent hike in broccoli shipments. Apollo, Romaine and Iceberg lettuce exports grew 30 per cent, 14 per cent and 12 per cent respectively, while baby spinach exports increased by 27 per cent.
“The results highlight the growing demand for a diverse range of fresh vegetables and leafy products, while also demonstrating Myrtea Export’s ability to respond to the requirements of increasingly diverse and demanding international markets,” the company said, adding that its close collaboration with Sol de Levante, its key producer, was a major factor in its growth.
“Sol de Levante’s capacity, experience and commitment to quality play an essential role in ensuring a consistent supply of fresh produce and enabling the company to respond flexibly to the specific requirements of customers across different markets,” Myrtee Export continued.
“This combination of production capacity, quality and distribution expertise has become one of the foundations of Myrtea Export’s international growth strategy.”
The company noted that the record export figures also reflect the trust placed in it by its customers and the company’s commitment to providing a reliable, flexible and customer-focused service.
“This export record demonstrates the confidence our customers place in us and the commitment of our entire team to providing a reliable, flexible service adapted to the needs of each market. We will continue growing alongside our producers and bringing the quality of Spanish fruit and vegetables to an increasing number of international customers,” said commercial director Elena A Segura.
Myrtea Export will be exhibiting at this year’s Fruit Attraction, where it will present its range of fresh fruit and vegetables, together with its distribution and logistics solutions, to international buyers, distributors and industry professionals.
“The event will provide an opportunity for Myrtea Export to strengthen existing commercial relationships, establish new international contacts and showcase its ability to adapt its offer and service to the requirements of different markets,” the company said.
“With international demand continuing to grow, we are focused on building on the momentum of its latest campaign through close collaboration with our producers, a commitment to quality and an increasingly flexible approach to serving customers worldwide.”
