Hamburg Süd has announced today that a new Algerian agency, Arkas Algerie SPA, has taken over all duties for the group in the country, succeeding previous agency Dolphin One.
According to the group, the integration of Arkas Algerie will enhance Hamburg Süd's commercial presence in the region and guarantee short communication channels and faster on-the-spot handling for customers.
Additionally, the realignment enables Hamburg Süd to take account of 'substantial growth' in demand for imports in Algeria, as well as customer demand for more reefer cargo, the group said.
Arkas Algerie operates out of offices in the two principal ports of Algiers and Oran.
