VIP and VOG Consortia’s yellow-skinned apple is back on supermarket shelves
The first new-season volumes of yello, the yellow-skinned apple variety with a tropical aroma produced by Italy’s VIP and VOG Consortia, are now available in European markets.

Quality is reported to be excellent this year. The bright yellow apple is known for its crispy flesh and distinctive notes of pineapple, honey and lemon zest.
“yello is a unique apple in the yellow-skinned segment, a premium product that is perfect for those who value quality,” said Hannes Tauber and Benjamin Laimer, marketing managers at the VOG and VIP Consortia. “With its unrivalled personality and rich aromas and fragrances, it will continue to win over new fans, enhancing the entire apple category.”
Originating in the foothills of the Hida Mountains, known as the Japanese Alps, yello is grown in the valleys of South Tyrol. According to VIP and VOG, it has become a leader in the premium segment, “recognised by connoisseurs for its extraordinary quality and exotic appeal”.
