Norman Collett new recruits

English fruit marketing agent Norman Collett has announced the appointment of new key personnel to its retailer relationship team.

Sam Jarvis, who has joined as national account manager, was previously at UK importer Chingford fruit, while Lizzie Mallet, previously of Finlay's, has joined as technical manager and will be concentrating on working closely with growers.

Norman Collett's commercial director, Michael Joyles, said: 'This recruitment drive forms part of our investment for long term growth. This is an exciting development in our company's history and we are delighted to welcome Sam and Lizzie to the team.'

Norman Collett, based in Paddock Wood, Kent, functions as the marketing desk for English fruit cooperative Mid Kent Growers.

The company is also the licence holder for the marketing of Rubens apples, which wonfirst, second and third prizes in the 'tastiest apple' competition at the UK's 2011 National Fruit Show, while it also took the title of Britain's tastiest apple for the second time.
