The Belgian-headquartered group has announced plans to relocate facilities in the Netherlands and US while expanding its workforce to support continued growth

Optimum Sorting, a specialist in optical sorting technology, has announced that it achieved €40mn in revenue in 2025, representing 38 per cent growth compared to the previous year.
According to the company, the milestone reinforces its position as an international player and sets the stage for further expansion plans in 2026.
The group, which has offices in Hasselt (Belgium), Eindhoven (the Netherlands) and Denver (US), now operates in 50 countries and serves approximately 350 customers worldwide, primarily within the food industry.
Recent installations have focused on advanced sorting solutions for vegetables including onions, green beans, and carrots, while it also introduced the Magnus sorter, designed specifically for handling delicate fruits.
“Optimum Sorting’s growth in 2025 was no coincidence,” said Tybo Mollet, CEO of Optimum Sorting. “It was driven by continuous innovation and a relentless focus on our customers’ needs.
We launched breakthrough applications that opened new markets, from advanced solutions for the mining industry to technologies that enable the sorting of even the most delicate products.
“This year, we also reached a major milestone: the installation of our 900th machine,” Mollet continued.
”This achievement not only validates our expertise but also reinforces our commitment to delivering top quality worldwide.”
To meet rising demand and increased production, Optimum Sorting’s Dutch branch will move to a larger, more modern facility in Veldhoven during the summer of 2026.
In the US, one of Optimum Sorting’s test and demo centres will also relocate, from Turlock to Sacramento, a move that the group said will enable it to better serve both existing and potential customers in California’s nut and vegetable industry.
“Our growth isn’t just driven by technology; it’s powered by people,” Mollet outlined. ”In 2025, our team expanded from 91 to 118 colleagues, and this is only the beginning.
“In 2026, we have exciting plans to further strengthen our teams in Belgium, the Netherlands, Thailand, and the United States with top talent in engineering, service, and logistics.
“Together, we will continue to build reliable and cutting-edge sorting solutions for our customers, with the ambition to reach new heights in the years ahead,” he added.
