Kaisa Väistö-Nurminen will officially take on a new role as managing director of salad bar specialist Picadeli Finland on 1 June.

She succeeds Nina Westerberg, who up to now has led both Picadeli Finland and Salico Oy – both part of Swedish organisation Greenfood Group – but will now focus fully on her role as MD of Salico Oy.

Both divisions have seen substantial growth in recent years. Picadeli Finland recently opened its 250th salad bar in the country and says it sees strong market demand for healthy, tasty, and accessible food through its self-serve concept.

According to the group, Väistö-Nurminen has been an integral part of this journey and is now ready to “take the next step” in leading Picadeli Finland forward.

“I’m truly honoured to step into this new role and continue building on the strong foundation that Nina and the team have created,” she commented. “Picadeli’s mission to offer tasty healthy fast-food is something I believe deeply in, and I’m excited to lead the next phase of our growth in Finland.”

David von Laskowski, CEO of Picadeli and Greenfood Group, said her operational expertise, leadership skills, and deep understanding of the Finnish market made Väistö-Nurminen uniquely qualified to lead Picadeli Finland.

“This transition represents a natural and exciting step forward in our leadership journey,” he said. “Nina Westerberg has done an outstanding job leading both Picadeli Finland and Salico Oy, guiding both companies through significant growth and strengthening their positions in the market. She has masterfully balanced both roles while also fostering closer collaboration between the two organisations.”

Today, the Picadeli concept can be found in over 2,100 stores in Sweden, Finland, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, and the US, and now sells more than 50mn salads per year.
