Planasa has announced the appointment of Ronnie Kersten as business development director for Northern Europe, effective October 2025.
Kersten brings more than 20 years of experience and extensive market knowledge, having built his career in the global berry business, with a strong focus on the blueberry and strawberry industry.
“He has held key roles at Legro, Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, De Kemp and Fresh Forward Breeding, gaining deep insights into the fresh produce value chain, from plant genetics and cultivation to market development and customer engagement,” Planasa said.
“In his new role, Ronnie will be responsible for driving growth, building strategic partnerships, and further strengthening Planasa’s presence in Northern Europe. His strong network, combined with his passion for innovation and sustainable agriculture, aligns perfectly with Planasa’s mission to deliver premium varieties and added value to growers and the wider industry.”
