Port International Fruit has added experience to its management structure with the appointment of Phillip Buschmann as joint managing director

Port International Fruit has announced that it strengthened its management structure at the end of 2025 as it looks to reposition the company for the future.
According to the group, new addition Phillip Buschmann will take on the role of managing director alongside Karlsson Port.
“With Phillip Buschmann, we are gaining a leader who combines a large international network and operational expertise with strategic foresight,” said Karlsson Port, managing director of Port International Fruit.
”Together, we will further expand our position in the fruit trade and strengthen our relationships with producers and customers for a long time to come.”
Buschmann brings more than ten years of experience in the international fruit industry to the position.
“Port International Fruit GmbH has a strong foundation and clear values,” noted Buschmann.
”I look forward to creating synergies with the existing team contributing my own perspective, strengthening existing or establishing new partnerships, and driving forward our projects around the world.”
The fresh produce suppliers noted that, with the new management structure, it was ”clearly positioning itself for the future, with a focus on growth, risk diversification, and customer proximity”.
Buschmann and Port would place particular emphasis on transparency and sustainability across the entire supply chain, as well as on the creation of new partnerships, it added.
