Move will streamline services and facilitate trade bilateral trade between Peru and South Florida
PortMiami and the Port of Callao have signed an International Sister Seaport Agreement designed to streamline maritime connectivity, exchange best operational practices, and expand bilateral commerce between Peru and South Florida.
The signing delegation in Lima – featuring PortMiami’s global trade and business development director Eric Olafson alongside US ambassador to Peru Bernie Navarro and Peruvian port authorities – marks a strategic alignment between South America’s premier Pacific shipping hub and North America’s leading refrigerated gateway into the Eastern Seaboard.

This bilateral accord comes in the run-up to the upcoming IMO/IPO Global Tropical Agriculture Supply Chain (GTASC) Summit, which takes place at PortMiami on 12-13 October.
