Quality seal recognises superior tasting products tested and approved by consumers in Spain and France
The quality seal is given to brands or varieties that achieve the highest taste rating in their category in blind tasting tests carried out by a sensory analysis laboratory.
Royal Blu Aroma, Royal’s flagship blueberry cultivar, took 15 years to develop and combines aroma and flavour as distinctive elements to create a set of unique varieties.
The varieties currently make up 85 per cent of the company’s total distribution volume of 13,000 tonnes. The season runs from October to June.
Royal’s vertically integrated structure covers the whole production process, from research and development of new varieties to production, packing and exports to more than 27 markets.
