The former Trops managing director returns to Malaga after a brief stint with Treemond Group

Enrique Colilles, former managing director of Trops, has joined the board of Ruiz Montosa, the group that owns Frutas Montosa.
As reported in Diario Sur, Colilles joins Ruiz Montosa with the aim of “contributing to its professionalisation process and facilitating the transition from a management style based on ownership, which has driven its growth into the large company it is today, to professional management”.
This process is being driven by Montosa’s founder and co-owner, José Luis Montosa, to steer the company through a new phase of growth and continuity. The current organisational structure of Montosa is expected to remain in place.
“The intention is to introduce a higher level of rigour, empowerment, and professionalization at every level of the organisation,” Colilles said.
Colilles began his professional career at the consulting firm Ernst & Young, working in various sectors, from gaming and hospitality to industry, food, and retail. Five years later, he joined Trops, serving as finance director for the first year and subsequently as managing director. He left Trops in 2024 to move to Lisbon as managing director of the Treemond Group, a company specialising in nut production in the Iberian Peninsula. Two years later, he returns to Málaga to begin a new chapter at Ruiz Montosa.
