Sambóa welcomes Blue Whale and Fruitcraft at Fruit Attraction

Apple brand Sambóa has formed a new strategic partnership with French company Blue Whale and New Zealand group Fruitcraft, one that will see it expand production of its three licensed varieties.

The partnership, which was unveiled at Fruit Attraction in Madrid, marks a significant step forward in Sambóa’s global masterplan, it said.

Together, the two new partners will add an additional 800ha of new orchards: 500ha in France through Blue Whale, and 300ha in New Zealand via Fruitcraft.

The latter is a collaboration formed by three of the country’s leading apple growers and marketers – Mr Apple, Bostock, and Craigmore.

The new agreements take Sambóa closer to its goal of 4,000ha of production worldwide.

“We are very happy to welcome Blue Whale and Fruitcraft into the Sambóa family. Their expertise, innovation, and commitment to quality align perfectly with our mission to bring Sambóa to more consumers around the world,” said Marco Rivoira on behalf of Sambóa.

Giulia Montanaro, the brand’s general manager, added: “With these partnerships, Sambóa continues to strengthen its position as international apple brand, creating an even more global network.”
