Last week, imports of Spanish clementines into France were down by approximately 38 per cent compared with the average tonnage, according to French weekly FLD.

This decline was reportedly caused by the rainy weather recently seen in Spain, which affected volumes of the main Marisol, Oronules and Clamenpons varieties. According to FLD, some limited volumes of Clemenules had arrived in France that week.

Prices of Spanish clementines, although still comparatively low in relation to the competition, increased on average by approximately 11 per cent, the paper added.
