Total Produce UK appoints senior director

Total Produce UK has appointed Mark Player as managing director of its retail and imports business.

Playerjoined the group on 12 November from food supplier Brakes where he served as managing director for the Scotland and northern England side of the business.

Previously, Player was one of the founding directors of MM (UK) Ltd and also served as marketing manager at Israel-based citrus specialist Mehadrin Tnuport Marketing.

Player's move to Total Produce UK comes after the European supplier recently acquired UK fruit supplier Burtons Go Bananas for an undisclosed fee.
