Argentina’s Tres Ases has opened a new smart fruit climate control facility in Cipolletti. The company said the investment will allow it to expand its offering and strengthen its position in the fruit market.

The state-of-the-art facility enables the precise control of the fruit ripening and storage process, allowing the company to serve its customer base in Río Negro and Neuquén with high quality, ready-to-eat fruit year-round.

The moves comes as the company continues to expand its portfolio as part of an ongoing diversification strategy – most recently adding bananas to its product line-up through an tie-up with Tropical Argentina.

The company’s president, Gabriel Grisanti, commented: “This development allows us to have greater control over the process and guarantee our customers predictability and fruit at its peak ripeness”.

Tres Ases said the new facility would support the growth of the local fruit industry, considered strategic for the regional economy, and generate new jobs for workers in Cipolleti and the surrounding area.
