Supplier strengthens sustainability leadership with appointment of former Oatly executive, who brings experience from Mars, US State Department and White House environmental roles

International fresh produce supplier Unifrutti Group has appointed Ashley Allen as its new group chief sustainability officer.
In a statement, the Abu Dhabi-based company said sustainability was high on its agenda and “at the heart of our purpose to drive innovation and sustainability by delivering best quality fruit”.
It continued: “Ashley brings exceptional experience in advancing global sustainability and climate leadership.”
Allen previously worked as chief sustainability officer for Swedish food company Oatly, and as an advisor to Washington DC-based consultancy CO2Efficient.
She has also held senior roles at Mars, the US State Department, and the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
“Her appointment reinforces our commitment to building a more resilient, responsible, and future-ready fruit value chain worldwide,” the group added.
