Kuehne and Nagel said it closed the 2022 financial year with an “exceptionally strong result”, seeing growth in net turnover and earnings.

The Switzerland-headquartered company reported on a rise in net turnover of 20 per cent to CHF39.4bn, EBIT by 28 per cent to CHF3.8bn and net profit up 30 per cent to CHF2.8bn.

The logistics group said that all of its business units contributed ”significantly” to the company’s success, and pointed out that due to the economic slowdown, the result in the fourth quarter was weaker compared than the rest of the year.

The macroeconomic environment will remain challenging this year due to geopolitical developments and inflation, Kuehne and Nagel stated, although positive growth and earnings is expected to continue.

“The 2022 financial year was exceptional for Kuehne and Nagel in many respects – a year of great financial success, but also with challenges for us and our customers. Thanks to our dedicated employees, we were able to provide our customers around the world with high-quality logistics services,” said CEO Stefan Paul.

”Now is the right time to launch our new strategic Roadmap 2026 and ensure Kuehne and Nagel’s sustainable future success with a dedicated focus on quality, customer satisfaction and employee motivation.”
