The international seed company highlighted its latest ToBRFV-resistant innovations including Sweetloom, Tobrossa and Snow Sweet varieties at the industry event held in Málaga for the first time

Yuksel Global Tomato Congress 2025

For the third consecutive year, international seed company Yuksel Seeds participated in the Fruitnet Tomato Congress, held for the first time in Málaga on 11-12 November at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos.

During the event, the company showcased its extensive tomato portfolio, including Sweetloom, Tobrossa, Snow Sweet, Tobchoco, Umay, and Tobralina, all resistant to the ToBRFV virus.

The congress brought together hundreds of industry delegates, who explored the latest trends and developments in the tomato sector over two days of conferences, interactive workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities.

Attendees had the chance to see firsthand the innovations transforming the industry and the collaboration driving its growth.

Yuksel Seeds used this global platform to highlight its latest ToBRFV-resistant innovations.

Featured varieties included the pink heirloom tomato Tobrossa, the chocolate heirloom tomato Tobchoco, the cherry tomatoes Umay, Snow Sweet and Tobralina, and the award-winning purple heirloom tomato Sweetloom.

The Yuksel Seeds delegation included Rafael Granero, commercial director of Yuksel Seeds Spain; Bartek Majda, country manager for Poland; and Abderrahim Chajia, country manager for Yuksel Morocco, who actively participated in a debate on ’emerging consumer needs, extreme climate events, and pest and disease challenges’.

“Participating in the Tomato Congress is always an enriching experience,” said Granero.

”It is the perfect platform to share knowledge, discover trends, and plan the future of the tomato market together.

”We are very grateful to Fruitnet for once again trusting Yuksel Seeds as an exhibitor and speaker, and we look forward to seeing this event continue to grow and consolidate as a benchmark for the industry in Málaga next year,” he added.

Yuksel Seeds said it is now looking ahead to its next major international event – Fruit Logistica 2026 in Berlin.
