Turkish exporter öner Group is in the process of boosting its production of vegetables through the construction of new greenhouses, according to the company’s Ferit özaltin.
“We are building over 100ha of state-of-the-art greenhouses in the south of Turkey for the production of vegetables, including cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes,” he tells Fruitnet.com.
Mr özaltin says that this is an enormous development for the company and reveals that there is much excitement surrounding the completion of the greenhouses.
“This is a big project, probably the biggest that this company has ever undertaken,” he says. “We have been working on it for almost two years and now it is nearly ready.”
