Entries of Karina cherries and Everbearer strawberries win ’best in show’ prizes at annual event in Kent

Kent growers AC Hulme & Sons and Edward Vinson Limited were among the big winners at the National Cherry and Soft Fruit Show 2026 for their respective entries of Karina cherries and Everbearer strawberries.
The ‘best in show’ producers were crowned at the annual event at Brogdale Farm in Faversham on Friday 17 July.
It is the UK’s premier competition for commercial berry and cherry growers, showcasing the nation’s best cherries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries.
Vincentia, grown by Kelcey Farms in Wickhambreaux, and Sweet Royalla, grown by WB Chambers in Maidstone, won ‘best in show’ in the raspberry and blackberry categories respectively.
The show also attracted entries of blueberries, plums, apricots, redcurrants and peaches.
