US-grown Pink Blush is described as a ‘sensory experience’ and follows the new mango grape launch earlier this month as M&S rolls out of wave of innovation in the category
M&S has launched new US-grown seedless Pink Blush grapes in what it calls a world exclusive and a potentially revolutionary variety for the grape category.
Grown by the recently merged Giumarra group in the US, the grapes are described as a ‘rich, sensory experience’, with flavour perception varying from melon, blackberry and pineapple.
Retailing for £3 for 400g, Pink Blush grapes are on sale in select stores for a limited time. The launch follows months of development with partners Grapa Global, the new group formed by US grape breeders Giumarra and Karniel, along with importers DPS.
“Exclusives like this are exactly why I love my role, bringing our customers new varieties that spark conversation, healthy debates, and more important a unique experience like no other,” said M&S buyer Ghenadie Coroi.
The news comes hot on the heels of another new grape varietal launch earlier this month, with Spanish-grown ‘Mango grapes’ also launching into limited M&S stores, as the retailer unveils a wave of late summer innovation.
Mango grapes, grown by Moyca Grapes in Spain, are described as “golden green with a blush of sunset pink, super juicy, and packed with tropical flavour.”
