The Port of Dover Cargo has been awarded a Grade A for its renewed BRCGS global standard for storage and distribution.

The renewed certification, under Category 01 for chilled and frozen food within the temperature-controlled storage standard, has been described as a “strong endorsement” of the port’s commitment to continual improvement.

The improved grading highlights enhancements across processes, infrastructure, and quality management systems.

”This achievement reflects the dedication of our teams to continuously improve and adapt to the evolving needs of our customers and the wider supply chain,” said head of business development at Port of Dover Cargo, Alison Hall.

“Our focus remains on delivering reliable, high-quality services that support the safe and efficient movement of perishable goods,” she added.

Product director for food and packaging at AMTIVO, Oliver Hynes, said: “Port of Dover Cargo’s achievement of an A grade in their latest BRCGS audit is a strong endorsement of their commitment to continual improvement and the consistent application of robust food safety practices across the organisation.

”This is a significant accomplishment, and the team should be proud of the standards they have achieved and maintained. At Amtivo, we are pleased to support the Port of Dover as they continue to strengthen their systems, performance, and compliance for their customers and stakeholders.”
