Laverstoke Park farm will hold a two day seminar called “Improve life in your soil - using compost and compost tea” to help farmers and growers involved in organic farming, urban horticulture and landscaping increase their knowledge of improvements to soil quality using natural and biological approaches.

Situated in the new laboratory complex at Laverstoke Park in Overton, Hampshire on May 2-3, the event will include a presentation from guest speaker Dr Elaine Ingham, one of the world’s pre-eminent soil microbiologists as well as the director and president of Soil Foodweb Inc and the Sustainable Studies Institute.

Laverstoke Park is a 2,500 acre organic farm owned by Jody Schechter who was the first organic grower to set up a laboratory to improve the quality of compost, compost tea and soil on the farm. The HDRA and the Soil Association will support the event.
