FPJ recognises outstanding achievement in the UK fruit and vegetable sector with the second edition of its coveted industry awards

The Festival of Fresh Awards return this summer at FPJ’s flagship event on Thursday 13 June.

Now in their second year, the awards recognise outstanding achievement in the British fruit and vegetable industry.

Winners are carefully chosen by FPJ’s editorial team for standout performance in the UK market over the past 12 months.

Companies and other organisations are invited to bring campaigns and successes to FPJ’s attention if we haven’t already reported on them.

Awards will be presented in six categories. Five are the same as last year’s. In addition, an Innovation Award has been added to recognise excellence in technology, varietal development or another forward-thinking aspect of the business.

The six awards categories are:

Retail Supplier of the Year

Non-retail Supplier of the Year

Marketing Magic Award

Sustainable Champion Award

Editor’s Award

Innovation Award (new for 2024)

What’s on the agenda at Festival of Fresh?

As ever, the Festival of Fresh speaker programme promises plenty of cutting-edge insight and debate.

We get to grips with today’s industry challenges through a combination of panels, interviews and talks. And we explore opportunities to succeed with agile production, innovative marketing, and sustainable processes.

The full speaker line-up will follow, but here are the topics visitors can expect us to cover:

Production and trade from inflation to border checks, labour, government support, and R&D.

Retail, foodservice and marketing – covering the latest trends, opportunities and challenges in supply.

Sustainability – featuring key players in environmental agriculture, precision farming, organic production, compliance, and food rescue.
