Avo Connections, the Australian avocado industry’s annual forum will be held at the Brisbane Convention Centre ahead of this year’s Hort Connections on 4 June.  

The sold-out event is in its fifth year and will offer delegates the opportunity to hear from global thought leaders, trade experts, and marketing masterminds.  

This year, the forum will be presented as part of the National Horticulture Roadshow, an initiative to bring together industry experts, growers, and the community to share knowledge, showcase new technologies, celebrate the horticulture sector’s achievements, and foster growth in the industry.  

The Avo Connections programme will explore the latest trends and opportunities for Australian avocados including an overview of the Australian avocado industry, the latest developments related to the domestic market, export markets, food service and marketing of Australian avocados.

Speaker highlights include Steven Marks, co-CEO and co-founder of Guzman y Gomez; Professor David Hughes, Emeritus professor of food marketing at Imperial College London; and Adam Ferrier, one of Australia’s best-known and successful consumer psychologists and founder of Thinkerbell.  

The event will also provide an opportunity for industry to hear the latest State of the Avocado Industry details amid market development and access activities. It will also offer networking opportunities, promoting collaboration and innovation across the Australian avocado supply chain.
