SunFed has appointed Mark Cassius as chief innovation officer, the company announced. In his new role, he will focus on broadening the produce marketer’s reach through increased category management and packaging innovations.
Prior to joining, he served as executive vice president of sales and marketing for EuroFresh. Before that he spent ten years as vice president of sales with Del Monte.
President and CEO Danny Mandel said Cassius had a record of achievement everywhere he had been. “With SunFed’s documented ability to provide the trade with remarkable levels of freshness and Mark’s insights into innovation and marketing, our customers have every right to raise their expectations going forward,” he said.
“SunFed has built a great reputation over the years for exceptional quality and innovation,” Cassius said. “I look forward to joining the team to collaborate on furthering product development and innovation.”
