Dutch vegetable seed company Rijk Zwaan has announced that it officially opened the new head office of its Kazakhstan subsidiary on 22 May, located in Almaty, the largest city in the country.
Rijk Zwaan has been active in the Kazakh market for nearly 20 years, with the group building on its existing cooperation with its partner company to build up its own subsidiary since 2010.
'Rijk Zwaan Almaty will play a central role in the Central Asian activities of Rijk Zwaan,' the group said. 'The agricultural potential in this region is rapidly growing, as a result of a growing demand for high quality vegetables.'
